How I make a Living as an Unvaccinated Victorian

It’s almost impossible to survive as an unvaccinated Australian. Though not for the reasons people assume.

We all have our reasons, but some of us Australians have made the conscious decision to abstain from becoming vaccinated with any of the current Covid-19 vaccines.

Some want to stand for freedom, others are uncomfortable with putting a brand new type of vaccine in their body, and some are just straight up against vaccines. Regardless of their reasons, unvaccinated Australians, and in particular, Victorians, suffer the heaviest blows of all states when it comes to unvaccinated freedoms or lack thereof. Until recently, unvaccinated Victorians couldn’t even shop at JB Hi-Fi without double-vaccination proof.

It is an incredibly valiant decision and one that has put many people and families in dire financial positions in the name of their beliefs and reasons for not getting vaccinated. I think this is unfair, there have been countless highly-skilled people let go simply because of their health choices. It goes to show that you really are just a number in employment, and your manager will chew you up and spit you out without so much as a thankyou. While employers will say “it’s beyond their control”; they are also quick to say they “can’t” even leave you on the payroll on unpaid leave until the end of mandates. So it’s not like they really care anyway.

So many fellow Australians, are out of work and struggling to make ends meet because of a dictator at the helm of public policy. As a result, I have decided to show my fellow unvaccinated how I make a living with no jab. Each and every one of the below income streams has been tried and tested by me, and requires no special skill, experience, or proof of vaccination.

Just remember, every bit counts.

1: Doordash

Most have heard of Doordash once or twice before, you may have even ordered it yourself. What may come as a surprise to you, however, is that it can be a really viable way to bring in some much-needed cash in these dire times.

You pick when and where you work, and you can increase your earnings by working during busy periods (think breakfast, lunch, tea, and supper).

In terms of earning potential, a quick 2-hour “dash” can easily bring in $50-$70 if you pick your dash times carefully. Per week, I make about $600.

2: Snooper

With Snooper, you earn money by completing “missions” in local shops and stores. Some are undercover, some are completed with the staff’s awareness, but they all allow you to make decent money going to places you were already going to.

Better yet, if you complete a certain amount of the same mission in the week, you receive a cash bonus between $5 and $15.

These missions are fun, and make you feel like a secret agent. I love them and have learnt so much more about products that consumers have access to.

I earn about $50-$100 per week while visiting stores that I would normally visit anyway.

Join up here: SnooperApp Australia

3: SmartSpotter

Very similar to Snooper, SmartSpotter is an app that allows you to complete assignments at all of your favourite stores regardless of where you are.

Oftentimes, I find myself completing a Snooper mission and a SmartSpotter mission at the same place and time.

Assignments with SmartSpotter are quite simple, so they pay an average of $6 per assignment.

I earn about $50 per week while visiting stores I intend to shop at throughout the week.

Sign up here: SmartSpotter Australia

4: ReceiptJar

Receipt jar is more like an expense tracker with an incentive to do so. When you make purchases, you simply photograph your receipt which you then receive points for.

Once you save up 1000 points, you can redeem this for $5. It won’t make you rich, but every bit counts, and you might find yourself getting a large tax return because of your extra record-keeping. There are streak bonuses too for photographing receipts for consecutive days.

I earn about $5 per week while taking photos of receipts instead of stashing them in a box.

Sign up here: We’ll both get 200 points when you upload your first receipt. Use code CHRIGHFRH during signup at https://www.receiptjar.com

5: Ads on Wheels

Ads on Wheels is a new one of mine, as the name may suggest, you get paid to have your car vinyl wrapped with a brand campaign of your choice. It is essentially a passive income.

You are paid on a campaign basis and the rate depends on duration. Once you sign up and register your vehicle, you will receive a notification when there is a campaign near you.

Before beginning, you need to undertake a 7-day trial drive where the app tracks your driving habits (distance, braking, speeding, acceleration). Most campaigns require you to drive at least 200km per week. This means this income stream works particularly well with Doordash.

Ads on Wheels is invite-only, so email me at: healthythewealthy@gmail.com to be sent an invite.

6: Field Agent

Similar to both SmartSpotter and Snooper; Field Agent is another program where you earn money for completing “missions” at your local stores.

Missions can include recording yourself in the grocery store, answering surveys about on-shelf stock in store, and also just being paid to buy things and share your thoughts.

These missions are all quite lucrative, and routinely pay between $10-$40 per mission.

On average, I earn about $20 per week getting paid to try new products or answer questions about the stores that I visit.

7: Dropd Neighbour

Dropd is the only program on this list of its kind. Essentially, you and as a click and collect hub where online shoppers who don’t want their parcel left at their door come to collect it at a suitable time.

The program is still in its infancy, but you get $3 per parcel collected, and the company anticipates that soon you may have 50–100 parcels collected each day.

All you need to do, is be home to hand the parcel to the collectee.

8: Blogging

Blogging is often seen as a daunting pipe-dream, but if you have a passion, creating a website and writing about your passion can be quite lucrative.

Not only is it easy; as you’re writing with passion, but there are multiple ways to generate revenue from your website.

Advertising, affiliate marketing, collaborations, online stores, sales commissions, and courses are all legitimate ways to bring in money from your blog.

It can be a little disheartening at first, as you’ll be putting all this work in with no money in return, but the more you add to your site, the more it gets recognised by Google, and then a snowball effect takes place.

This means that in time, your site will reach its ideal audience “organically” (without paid visitors) and you will start to generate a limitless income.

I earn about $10 per week right now from my blog, as it’s new. I know that if I keep at it, however, I’ll slowly but surely add another zero again and again to that number.

I use the most popular web builder, WordPress. You can sign up here: Start a website with WordPress.

9: Fiverr — Gig Marketplace

What would you do for $5? This is how Fiverr began as a marketplace where you would sell yourself for $5. How time has flown. Today “gigs” still cost $5, but now there is the creative freedom to charge what you’re worth.

Anyone can make some money on Fiverr from the comfort of their home. From doing mundane tasks such as data entry, reading things out on video, or honing in on your expertise or talent of yours; the possibilities are endless.

All you need is a bit of imagination, out-of-the-box thinking, and determination to make money, and you will surprise yourself with what you can do! Maybe you are good at sales, marketing, singing, dancing, writing, or even disciplining kids! It doesn’t matter! There are customers waiting!

I review people’s software, do simple photoshop tasks, and grammar-check seller’s gig descriptions. This allows me to earn an average of $100 per week and these tasks generally only take about 3 hours out of my week.

10: Airtasker

Last but not least; the mighty Airtasker!

Airtasker is the do anywhere, do anything gig marketplace that allows all Australians with an internet connection to ask, and look for jobs.

Anything from mowing the lawn, to tax returns, to building design; if you’ve ever wondered if anyone would pay you to do “that thing” you’ve come to the right place.

Just last week, I started a work-from-home role that only requires 15hrs per week, but will make me $460 per week!
